Ginger Rabbit


  • 1 ½ oz Nine Banded Straight Bourbon
  • ½ oz Creme De Violette
  • ½ oz Blackberry syrup (recipe follows)
  • 1 Slice fresh ginger
  • 2 Strips lemon peel
  • 1 Dash Angostura bitters



  • Add the syrup and ginger to a mixing glass
  • Twist the lemon peel over the glass to express the oils
  • Drop the peel into the glass and muddle with the syrup and ginger
  • Add the bourbon, Creme De Violette and bitters with ice and stir until well-chilled
  • Strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice
  • Garnish with lemon peel
  • Enjoy!



In a small sauce pot add ¼ cup water and ¼ cup sugar with 8 blackberries
Bring to a slight boil to dissolve the sugar
Smash the berries a bit and stir around
Let cool and strain the berries out
