Ingredients
- 1 ½ oz Nine Banded Straight Bourbon
- ½ oz Creme De Violette
- ½ oz Blackberry syrup (recipe follows)
- 1 Slice fresh ginger
- 2 Strips lemon peel
- 1 Dash Angostura bitters
Steps
- Add the syrup and ginger to a mixing glass
- Twist the lemon peel over the glass to express the oils
- Drop the peel into the glass and muddle with the syrup and ginger
- Add the bourbon, Creme De Violette and bitters with ice and stir until well-chilled
- Strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice
- Garnish with lemon peel
- Enjoy!
Syrup
In a small sauce pot add ¼ cup water and ¼ cup sugar with 8 blackberries
Bring to a slight boil to dissolve the sugar
Smash the berries a bit and stir around
Let cool and strain the berries out
